Archaeology

I have been interested in archaeology since childhood. Discovering and seeing "fantastic" things for myself, as Howard Carter put it when he found Tutankhamun's tomb after 22 years of searching.

My education began at the University of Gothenburg in the 80s. A wonderful time where I lived up to it when I finally got to delve into the subject. I started by studying Nordic archaeology and then worked in the field for several years, mainly in the Nordic countries.

But the countries of antiquity attracted me more and more, so after studying Mediterranean archaeology, Egyptology, Geology, Astronomy and Marine archaeology at the University in the following years, I participated more and more in excavations abroad.

This led to me being able to work and "dig" in more countries. Greece, Italy, Egypt and Peru are close to my heart, which I have visited several times.

But after working as an archaeologist for 16 years, it increasingly struck me that our picture of human history and who we are does not quite match what we were taught at university.

It was also at this time that I began writing my books to reflect these mysteries I had encountered in several countries.

On this page I would like to start by posting pictures from a very interesting preliminary investigation in Turkey that I was able to participate in in 2024. Thanks to my being selected as an archaeologist in an international team, you soon will hear much more about.

But first, a brief presentation of the upcoming documentation, led by the amazing Matt LaCroix who was also the man who started this worldwide project, (see stageoftime.com).

FÖRUNDERSÖKNINGEN HÖSTEN 2024 RUNT SJÖN VAN,TURKIET:

We visited the following sites, among others Korzut, Ayanis, Cavustepe and Kef kalesi. All sites showed fantastic walls and temple remains. What was remarkable there were the basalt and andesite blocks in the walls which were of very high quality, where some could easily be compared to those found in, for example, Peru and Bolivia.

The special "Sisu temples" we visited were also of astonishingly high quality, where the Ayanis temple in particular stood out compared to the others. Here a fantastically rich symbolic language was found, carved into the basalt blocks with laser precision. Is this where we have the oldest symbols of the cross, the chalice, the Lily and more faith? But let me now show you some pictures from this beautiful, natural lakeside place near the Arrarat Mountains where Noah is said to have landed with the ark.
